Hey! I'm Jim! I’ve been working in the tattoo industry since 2008 and started tattooing in 2012. I’ve been working in a private studio setting since 2021. I grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Connecticut after graduating with a useless bachelors degree at Umass Lowell.
I really enjoy working in a wide variety of styles (neo traditional, traditional, color, black and gray, Japanese, illustrative, minimalist etc). I strive to be as well rounded of a tattooer as I can be, as you can see from my portfolio. To be honest, I really just enjoy the experience of tattooing cool people. Regardless of what I am working on, if I get to have a fun experience with a client, that’s all that matters.
Here’s a list of some of my favorite things to talk about and obsess over! Dogs, lava lamp customizing, cartoons, movies, car audio systems, dungeons and dragons podcasts, vinyl record collecting, ruining my hearing at concerts, true crime and eating cheese.
When I moved to a private studio setting I wanted to create a welcoming low stress environment to focus on individual projects and giving a worthwhile and memorable experience. The other main goal was to create a welcoming safe space for all bodies. So if you’re idea of a good time is to be a shitty human towards others than there’s other shops worth checking out.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my body of work, including both healed and fresh pictures. For more pictures you can follow me on Instagram @sickofjim. I may not post regularly but I do post on my stories quite frequently of pieces being worked on.
